YES! finally bananie and i are getting out of town with a tent! it's been a dream of mine for 4 years now, and we're finally doing it! (for our 4 year anniversary... yay us!). we're off to west texas... a place called Chinati Hot Springs (http://www.chinatihotsprings.com/home.html) the tent has been weatherproofed as much as possible, the food purchased and packed, the Boompmobile will soon be oil changed, washed and gassed up and ready for the 8+ hours of driving..... i'm ready for an adventure! i just hope that we don't get lost in the desert! i'm even considering packing my camera!
yes, it's true.... i've been up since 7:30 and have such high hopes for the day. bananie is off to work, and i have the house (and the pets) to myself. on the front porch over coffee my love asked me what i had planned for today. i replied:
mow the lawn clean up the back yard for the bbq on sunday ride my bike to mundi for some iris murdoch time clean the house walk the dogs
she's right... i always set myself up for disappointment. i always want to do too much in one day. but, at least i have a list... i'll be checking it off as i go. we shall see how it goes!
however, the tube is on and i'm feeling tired already... i really need to kill my tv....
